โปรดนำใบรับหนังสือเดินทางที่สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ออกให้มายืนยันเพื่อรับหนังสือเดินทาง พร้อมทั้งบัตรประจำตัวประชาชนตัวจริง โดยหากไม่สามารถมารับเองได้ ผู้มารับแทนต้องมีบัตรประชาชนตัวจริง ใบมอบอำนาจจากผู้ร้องและสำเนาบัตรประชาชนผู้ร้องอย่างชัดเจน

เอกสารเดินทางฉุกเฉินจะออกให้แก่ผู้ที่มีความจำเป็นฉุกเฉินที่จะต้องเดินทางกลับประเทศไทยเท่านั้น ดังนั้น ผู้ร้องจะต้องติดต่อสถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ พริทอเรีย ที่เบอร์ 012-342-5470 ต่อ 2 หรือ consular.pre@mfa.go.th ก่อนเท่านั้น เมื่อได้รับการยืนยันอนุญาตให้ทำหนังสือเดินทางฉุกเฉินจากสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ท่านจึงจะสามารถจองคิวได้
ในกรณีที่ท่านจองคิวทำหนังสือเดินทางฉุกเฉินเข้ามาโดยที่ยังไม่ได้รับการอนุมัติจากสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ การจองของท่านจะถูกปฏิเสธ ถึงแม้ว่าท่านจะมาแสดงตนที่สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ แล้วก็ตาม

บิดาหรือมารดา (คนใดคนหนึ่ง)(หรือทั้งบิดามารดาและบุตร) ที่มีสัญชาติไทยจะต้องมาแสดงตนและยื่นคำร้องด้วยตนเองที่สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงพริทอเรีย (โดยสามารถส่งเอกสารมาให้ตรวจสอบก่อนนำมายื่น)
กรณีจดทะเบียนสมรส: บิดาหรือมารดาที่มีสัญชาติไทยเพียงคนเดียวสามารถยื่นคำร้องขอสูติบัตรให้บุตรได้
กรณีไม่ได้จดทะเบียนสมรส: บิดาและมารดาต้องมาแสดงตนพร้อมกันทั้งสองคน
เอกสารประกอบการยื่นคำร้อง
1. เอกสารการเกิดจากโรงพยาบาล
2. สูติบัตรที่ออกให้โดยกระทรวงมหาดไทยของประเทศที่เกิด
3. บัตรประจำตัวประชาชนของบิดาและมารดา
4. หนังสือเดินทางของบิดาและมารดา
5. ทะเบียนสมรสของบิดาและมารดาในกรณีมารดาเป็นชาวต่างชาติ / บิดามารดาสัญชาติไทย (ถ้ามี)
6. สำเนาทะเบียนบ้านของบิดาหรือมารดาซึ่งถือสัญชาติไทย
7. แบบฟอร์มคำร้อง ดาวน์โหลดได้จากเว็ปไซต์สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ (คอลัมน์บริการและงานกงสุล เลือกแบบฟอร์ม)
8. สแกนเอกสารทั้งหมดให้เจ้าหน้าที่ได้ตรวจสอบเอกสารที่อีเมล์ consular.pre@mfa.go.th หลังจากเจ้าหน้าที่ได้ตรวจสอบเอกสารและแจ้งว่าถูกต้องเรียบร้อยแล้ว เจ้าหน้าที่จะติดต่อเพื่อทำนัดหมาย ให้มายื่นเอกสารและสัมภาษณ์ (เอกสารที่ผ่านการรับรองและผูกริบบิ้นสีเขียวจากกระทรวงการต่างประเทศแอฟริกาใต้ (DIRCO) จะต้อง "ห้ามแกะหรือฉีกริบบิ้นออกเด็ดขาด")9. วันที่มายื่นเอกสารและสัมภาษณ์ ผู้มายื่นเอกสารจะต้องนำเอกสารต้นฉบับมาด้วยทั้งหมดเพื่อแสดงต่อเจ้าหน้าที่ พร้อมส่งเอกสารที่รับรองสำเนาถูกต้องให้กับเจ้าหน้าที่ 1 ชุด
หมายเหตุ : เอกสารทั้งหมดที่ออกโดยหน่วยงานราชการของแอฟริกาใต้และประเทศในเขตอาณาจะต้องนำไปรับรองกับกระทรวงการต่างประเทศของประเทศนั้น ๆ ก่อนนำมาประกอบการแจ้งเกิดและจัดทำสูติบัตรกับสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ
ขั้นตอนการยื่นขอใบสูติบัตรไทย
เมื่อเจ้าหน้าที่ตรวจเอกสารครบถ้วนสมบูรณ์แล้ว (ใช้เวลาประมาณ 7 วันทำการ)
The father or mother (either one) (or both parents and the child) who holds Thai nationality must appear in person to submit the application at the Royal Thai Embassy in Pretoria. (Documents can be sent in advance for preliminary checking before formal submission.)

If only one parent (either the father or the mother) has Thai nationality, that parent can apply for the Thai birth certificate for the child.
Marriage Not Registered:
Both the father and mother must appear in person together.

8. สแกนเอกสารทั้งหมดให้เจ้าหน้าที่ได้ตรวจสอบเอกสารที่อีเมล์ consular.pre@mfa.go.th หลังจากเจ้าหน้าที่ได้ตรวจสอบเอกสารและแจ้งว่าถูกต้องเรียบร้อยแล้ว เจ้าหน้าที่จะติดต่อเพื่อทำนัดหมาย ให้มายื่นเอกสารและสัมภาษณ์ (เอกสารที่ผ่านการรับรองและผูกริบบิ้นสีเขียวจากกระทรวงการต่างประเทศแอฟริกาใต้ (DIRCO) จะต้อง "ห้ามแกะหรือฉีกริบบิ้นออกเด็ดขาด")9. วันที่มายื่นเอกสารและสัมภาษณ์ ผู้มายื่นเอกสารจะต้องนำเอกสารต้นฉบับมาด้วยทั้งหมดเพื่อแสดงต่อเจ้าหน้าที่ พร้อมส่งเอกสารที่รับรองสำเนาถูกต้องให้กับเจ้าหน้าที่ 1 ชุด

2. ต้องเป็นการต่ออายุบัตรประจำตัวประชาชน หรือเป็นการทำบัตรใหม่ในกรณีชำรุด สูญหาย (ไม่สามารถทำบัตรก่อนบัตรหมดอายุ 60 วัน) หรือมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงข้อมูล เช่น เปลี่ยนชื่อ เปลี่ยนนามสกุล หรือเปลี่ยนที่อยู่ (ซึ่งจะต้องดำเนินการเปลี่ยนข้อมูลดังกล่าวในทะเบียนราษฎร์ที่ประเทศไทยก่อนโดยไปดำเนินการด้วยตนเองหรือมอบอำนาจ)
3. ผู้ยื่นคำร้องต้องเป็นบุคคลถือสัญชาติไทย อายุ 7 ปีบริบูรณ์ขึ้นไป แต่ไม่เกิน 70 ปีบริบูรณ์

5. หลักฐานอื่น ๆ เช่น ใบสำคัญการเปลี่ยนชื่อ สกุล ทะเบียนสมรส เป็นต้น (ถ้ามี)
6. รูปถ่าย 2x2 นิ้ว จำนวน 2 รูป
7. ค่าธรรมเนียมในการขอตัวสอบประวัติ 100 บาท เป็นเงินสดในกรณีมอบอำนาจให้ทางสถานทูตพริทอเรียยื่นคำร้อง
8. แบบฟอร์มใบมอบอำนาจ (กรณีให้บุคคลอื่น (ญาติ/บุคคลที่รู้จัก/สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ) ยื่นคำร้อง
ในกรณีที่มอบอำนาจให้คนที่ไทยส่งคำร้อง

*ผู้รับมอบอำนาจจะต้องเป็นผู้ที่บรรลุนิติภาวะ อายุไม่ต่ำกว่า 20 ปีบริบูรณ์
ในกรณีมอบอำนาจให้ทางสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ส่งคำร้อง
